Popular ghazal and playback singer, Hariharan – of the Colonial Cousins and Roja fame – performed live at the Guru Nanak Bhavan, Ludhiana. Hariharan has received acclaims like the Best Male Singer for the year 2000, Best Male Playback Singer in 1995 and his album KAASH has received the Screen Award for the Best Album.
He is known for his versatility, having carved a niche for himself in the circuit of Ghazal singing, in his deep, full-throated voice with the polished classical edge. He has also left an indelible mark in the souls of all music lovers through the variety of songs he has sung for films. He is as popular in North India as much as down South. He has sung over 300 songs, under various music directors, the variety ranging from Bhajans to romantic melodies.
