It was an evening with a difference. A performance of a different genre was held at the Sutlej Club, under the auspices of the Ludhiana Sanskritik Samagam, in association with the British Council.
The Sutlej Club grounds resonated with the sound of musical fusion of breakbeat, ska, rap, reggae and dub. The high-energy performance was given by “Maroon Town” – the nine-piece Afro-Caribbean-Asian band from UK.
Maroon Town band members gave an inspiring live act filling the audience with their jest and the reverberations of the pulsating rhythm of fusion music.
The multi racial band has received accolades for ensemble work and apart from giving popular events, has also performed at prisons and supported rehabilitation centers, across the world.
