The Sabri Brothers, renowned for their raw, energetic, original style in rendering numbers from traditional Qawwali repertoire accompanied by a distinctive percussion style, gave an enchanting performance at Guru Nanak Dev Bhavan, Ludhiana on 22nd February 2002.
The Sabri Brothers have to their credit live performances in more than 18 cities in the USA and also in Australia and the Gulf. They have done playback singing for more than 20 Hindi films. They have recently cut an album, “Rabba-Yaar-Se-Mila-De, in which they have strived to add new dimensions to Qawwali, with their Sufi Gayaki touch. Their performances are exemplified with the royal touch of the Jaipuri Shahi Gharana and the amalgamation of Qawwali and Sufiana style … an expression of a truly transcendental experience.
