“Shatranj Ke Mohre” written by P.L. Deshpande, directed by Ramesh Talwar is IPTA’s longest running play and has recently completed 35 successful years. RAKESH BEDI: Overnight he became a national celebrity along with fellow actor Satish Shah when “Yeh Jo Hai Zindgi” happened in early 80’s. It was followed by all top rated stuff like Guniraam, Basera, yeh Duniya Gazab Ki, Tara,Shrimaan Shrimati, Jane Bhi Do Paro and Hum Sab Ek Hain.
RAJESHWARI SACHDEV : She won the Maharashtra State Government Award for Best Actress in her debut film “Aaytya Gharat Gharoba”. Her role in Shyam Bengali’s “Sardari Begum” got her the National Award for Best Actress in Supporting role. Rajeshwari’s big break came in the form of the Hollywood epic “Little Buddha” opposite Keanu Reeves and directed by Bernado Bertolucci.
With 13 years of training in Bharat-Natyam, the only other field left to explore was singing. As of 2004 she has three pop CDs “Hulle Hullare”, “Mukhda Piya Ka” and ” “Ummang”. She is also remembered for her performance in tele-serial “Nach Baliye”.

AVTAR GILL: the well known face on both TV and big screen has been regtular in Mahesh Bhatt’s films. His role in BR Chopra’s film Baghwan was highly appreciated. His forthcoming films are Lakeer, Vikram Bhatt’s Inteha and Govinda – starrer Mastana. But it was television that made him a house hold name through serial like Nukkad and Tara.
