Ludhiana Sanskritik Samagam is bringing its long awaited programme Centenary Tribute to Faiz Ahmed Faiz. Faiz was the most prominent Urdu poet after Galib and symbol of all that is human dignified, refined, brave respected and respectful. He was true Punjabi indeed.
His centenary has been celebrated in UK/ USA/ Canada Germany; wherever Punjabis live. In India the main function was presided over by the President of India. His immortal poems were romantic like Dono Jahan Teri Mohabhat. He also inspired the nation by Bol Kay Lub Azad Hai Tera, Hum Dekhenge or Toot Zayengi yeh Zanjeerein.
Our tribute will be presented in the same format as in Kaifi Aur Main & Ghalibnaama. The presenter will be Dr. Rahat Indori who is an eminent Urdu scholar & poet and bollywood lyricist. Faiz Ghazals will be sung by Jaswinder Singh, most prominent Ghazal Singer from Punjab after Jagjit Singh.
We will also be releasing CD dedicated to FAIZ AHMED FAIZ sung by our own RANDHIR KANWAL.
